Why I can only See Verision and Manifest Resources, no others?

Jan 16, 2011 at 6:30 PM

Could you please help? I use .net 4 and I only see (with ResourceInfo ):

RT_VERSION - 1 (0) - 712 byte(s)
RT_MANIFEST - 1 (0) - 490 byte(s)
File version: 1.0.0.0

But I do have String and file resources, could you tell me what could be wrong? Your help is much appreciated.

I don't know what "file" is. Are you sure you're not confusing Win32 resources with .NET resources? ResourceLib manages native Win32 resources only. .NET has full support for its resources with ManifestResourceStream (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319292).

Hi dblock,

Yes, you were right -- I was confusing Win32 resources with .NET resources. I got my problem resovled now -- thank you very much. Just a bit curious, can we do the same thing like modifying a .net executable's resources?

Read MSDN docs, it's fully supported but is beyond this scope of this project.
